Moong or Mung Wadis are chunks of sun-dried lentil paste. Cooked in a sauce, these dry brittle drops soak up the flavor of the sauce and becomes spongy and tender. Mung Wadis are very popular in India and are typically cooked in a spicy curry by itself or with potatoes any other vegetables. The lentil and the spices used might differ from one region to another. Moong wadis (made with yellow moong) are the most common.
